I was the design lead for the launch of an entirely new brand and product offering in Alto mail (2013-2014). The product was born out of the aspiration to fundamentally change how email was used and experienced. Months of research and data across 34 million active users on Aol(!) helped us identify key opportunity areas for the business that could impact growth, improve retention and create a new line of revenue. The vision was to create a new, dynamic way of communicating through email so that users could focus on what matters most to them. Email is used not just for simple communication but to help accomplish other very important tasks including sharing photos, planning events, managing bills/receipts, creating to-do lists and more. Alto mail was created to be a flexible, personal system to help you achieve all of that and more.
